I was just so looking forward to seeing him perform because I've consciously taken a break from him lately (he's been annoying me for some reason - I don't know why) and then, when he started to sing I thought 'lovely - what an amazing voice' but then he changed key and I literally FLINCHED!!! Mike (my husband) actually laughed at me when I did that but it was a totally involuntary reaction [img]frown.gif[/img]

I taped his performance and tried to watch it again but I couldn't - it was just too awful [img]frown.gif[/img]

I know that I (playfully) lust after Dunk but I've been a 'true' fan of Darren's for such a long time (whether it be for his looks or (now) just for his voice) and now I feel that he's slipping away from me. I can tolerate not liking his looks b/c that's just superficial but I can't imagine not liking his voice - it's been so much a part of my life that I think I'll be lost without it...

Terry sometimes artists change and their fans don't change with them. That's not your fault. At least you're honest enough to admit it. [img]smile.gif[/img] I know it's hard to let go of someone... who's music has been an important part of your life but you can still enjoy Darren's previous work. Terry, I agree with what the others have said. Yes, Darren is what brought this group together, but friends are more than just a common interest. I hope you will feel back "in tune" with Darren after the concerts - but if not then we'll still be here for ya hun!
